Don's Wrecker Service, Inc. began its operations in 1992 with a "General Class" license through the DPS, a used 1985 Chevrolet one ton Cradle Snatcher and six years towing experience serving the Northwest side of Oklahoma City. Using Don's previous towing experience and the efforts of "brother" Dale and "mom" Julie, the company expanded into a full wrecker operation.
For a short period of time we worked various motor club accounts. Because this proved to be time consuming and unprofitable, we chose to cancel the motor club accounts in order to offer the best service possible and present a better company image.
An "AA" class license was obtained and a small impound lot was acquired. The company was then requested for rotation calls from the Oklahoma County Sheriff and received a contract from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol to provide their towing needs.
Over the years a larger impound lot was acquired to better serve our growing operations. The lot has a solid 15 foot fence with 24 hour video surveillance.
The trucks are maintained daily and, we believe, are the cleanest trucks in Oklahoma City. We have won a beauty contest award for our equipment sponsored by the Oklahoma Wrecker Owners Association in Oklahoma City. A photo of our 1996 Ford was selected as an entry and was published in "Tow Times" 1998 "Shine 'n Star" national "Photo Parade" contest.
We pride ourselves that our years of service have been accident free with no claims or complaints.
